I’m blessed to have fantastic Commercial Real Estate Photography clients. As a commercial real estate photographer, one of my jobs is to photograph the surrounding area to give prospective buyers a visual of the geographic area. Often investors or investments groups are located in another part of the United State or in another country. Before they purchase a property they are given an Offering Memorandum, referred to as an OM. If the spreadsheets make sense to them financially, and the real estate photography is enticing, they’ll schedule a trip to do a visual inspection of the property.
There are several factors that go into remarkable commercial real estate photography. a] The surrounding area is thoroughly scouted to find interesting visual landmarks, b] Time of day is critical to creating the best exterior images. Timing it nearest to twilight and during twilight will yield the best images, c] Utilizing different visual angles, as well as elevated views, creates visual interest and a fresh and exciting point of view, d] a combination of wide and tight views show the surrounding area as well as architectural detail. Combine all these factors together and your client will end up with a rich portfolio of images instead of the same old boring images of a piece of commercial real estate. My aim is always to give life and a fresh point of view to the portfolio of commercial real estate photography.
