Think Tank Urban Approach 15 Mirrorless Backpack

Think Tank is releasing a new line of Mirrorless Mover bags

When I’m shooting luxury architectural images and real estate, I bring along my my Sony a7s and a7II with a selection of lenses packed in a Think Tank bag. I’m lucky enough to have one of the first ones. So, I thought I’d take a walk to the park today and photograph the heck out of it and share it with you. The Urban Approach 15 Mirrorless Backpack, is part of a new line of bags specially designed for mirrorless cameras called Mirrorless Mover bags produced Think Tank.

“It is about supporting photographers doing their job. If we can design products that help photographers travel easier, take pictures faster, and organize their gear more efficiently, then we will have accomplished something beyond the bags themselves.” ~ Think Tank’s Mission Statement

You can easily fit two mirrorless camera bodies and 5 lenses in this bag. Of course, I was photographing with my second body so a flash and my SD card holder took the space for a second body.

Its an elegant addition to the Think Tank line. A stripped down well padded, compact backpack with leather like trim and a very clean from.

“I’m a huge fan of Think Tank bags and personally own 6 of them. They are built to last and simply don’t show wear.” ~ Marc W.

Fewer outside pockets adorn the Urban Approach 15 Mirrorless Backpack. A dedicated zipper compartment in the back generously accommodates a 15″ laptop {with a cover}, a magazine or a few maps and and iPad or, in my canse, an iPad mini.

Heavy duty YKK zipper. The finest made zipper in the industry. It costs more for Think Tank to use YKK and give me piece of mind that my zippers will last and not break.

To give you an idea of the diminutive size of the Think Tank Urban Approach 15 I put a magazine in the side pocket and my Sony 70-200 f/4 G OSS lens next to the pack. Yet there is still ample room inside to house a Sony a7II, a7s, FE 16-35 f/4 Zeiss OSS, FE 24-70 f/4 Zeiss OSS, 70-200 f/4 G OSS and the amazing FE 55 f/1.8 Zeiss and a few more accessories.

I use my Think Tank Urban Approach 15 as a travel bag and take it with me in my car with my laptop, iPad and a travel drive. It is definitely a mirrorless mover. It’s nice to know that if I’m out and about in the city or taking a hike the breathable padded back support, padded straps and chest buckle will keep my gear comfortably strapped to me.
