Multi-Family Living Photography

Bright apartment community clubhouse with fireplace, leather chairs and a wall of windows, photographed by Marc Weisberg

High-end photography for luxury apartments and upscale multifamily residences significantly boosts leasing potential. Renters compare communities online before they ever schedule a tour, and the properties with the strongest images are the ones they call first. Magazine-quality photography highlights the best features of the property, driving prospective renters to inquire or visit.

Multifamily Photography

Multifamily photography that gives future residents a reason to tour

A prospective resident usually sees your community for the first time in photographs on a phone, beside two or three others. The exterior, the pool and the model unit have a few seconds to make the case for a visit.

Marc Weisberg is a multifamily and apartment photographer based in Irvine, California, working with developers, owners and property managers across Orange County, Los Angeles and San Diego. With over 26 years of experience, he photographs each community as a place to live, not a collection of rooms.

Every shoot is planned around the property. Marc studies the site, the orientation of each building and the hours when the pool deck, the clubhouse and the model units look their best, then builds a shot list that covers the full community.

Multifamily Communities Photographed Across Southern California

Case Study

Core at Sycamore Highlands, Riverside

A 275-unit apartment community managed by Greystar

Renters in the inland market compare dozens of communities online before they schedule a tour, and Core at Sycamore Highlands needed images that stood out in a crowded submarket while meeting Greystar’s national standard for its portfolio.

Marc planned the shoot around the hours when each space looks its best. Daylight carried the pool and its cabanas, and dusk carried the fire pit lounge. The clubhouse, fitness center, lounges and one, two and three bedroom interiors were photographed with natural light and careful framing, so finishes and floor plans read clearly on a phone.

The finished set gave the leasing team one consistent library for campaigns, the website, social media, listing sites and investor communications.

Every Stage

Images for every stage of a property

New Construction

Coverage before, during and after construction, with in-progress images for builders and REITs.

Stabilized Communities

A fresh set of images after a renovation, or when a property has simply outgrown its old photos.

Investment Sales

Property images for offering memorandums and investor packages, for brokerages and ownership groups. CBRE, Greystar, and JLL have commissioned Marc for multi-family investment sales assignments, where property-level photography supports the offering memorandum and investor package.

How Photography Drives Leasing Velocity

The leasing funnel for luxury multi-family residential starts online. A prospective resident searches, sees thumbnail images, and decides whether to click through in under three seconds. The quality of the photography at that moment determines whether your community gets a showing or gets scrolled past.

For developers and REITs managing lease-up on new construction, the photography is deployed before the community opens. Virtual tours, pre-leasing websites, and digital advertising all run on photography produced months before the first resident moves in.

For stabilized communities, a photography refresh is one of the highest-return investments available. It consistently outperforms rent concessions as a leasing tool, because it attracts prospects who compare communities on value rather than price.

Who Marc Photographs For

Built for the teams that lease communities

  • Apartment communities and multifamily developments, from garden style to high-rise.
  • Property management companies that want one consistent look across several properties.
  • Developers who need pre-leasing images before a community opens.
  • REITs and institutional owners photographing portfolios across Southern California.
  • Architecture firms documenting finished residential projects.

“For property managers and developers, photography is not a marketing expense. It is one of the most direct ways to cut vacancy.”

Why Owners and Developers Choose Marc

An editorial eye for apartment living

Marc approaches a multifamily community the same way he approaches an architectural commission, with the eye of a design magazine. The result is stunning, magazine quality imagery that lets a renter see themselves living there.

Marc was a Sony Artisan of Imagery from 2015 to 2021, a designation held by fewer than 50 photographers worldwide, and his work has earned 16 international awards in commercial photography.

“Why clients return: clients keep hiring Marc for their projects because his photography gets results.”
